Backyard Renovation by Ocean Blue Pools and Landscaping Located in the heart of San Diego County, our latest Backyard Remodel shows just how impactful design + craft can be. The client had a wonderful idea of a calm outdoor oasis that perfectly intermingled relaxation with entertainment, and our team at Ocean Blue Pools and Landscaping delivered on that vision. This beautifully distinctive custom natural stone patio is not only eye-catching, it is functional and durable as well. We used local quarried flagstone, so it looks a part of the landscape. To elevate the outdoor living experience, we incorporated a modern fire pit with seating to provide warmth on chilly nights spent outdoors. The first issue that arose was the slope in the back yard. Our team prepared the ground, after extensive surveying we made allotments of tiers in the ground which makes for better drainage and gives a better visual presence to the area. We brought in abundant local native plants California sage and agave which are not only sustainable as they thrive in our climate but encourage biodiversity. At the heart of the remodel, a large contemporary swimming pool with a hot tub for relaxation ensures plentiful space for recreation. We used energy-efficient equipment and sustainable materials that are both eco-friendly and stylish. The end result is a stunning yard that the client could not have imaged, breathing life into a little used section of their outdoor escape.
