In the heart of Pittsburgh, a family of busy professionals reimagined their older home to create a multifunctional living space that caters to their dynamic lifestyle. The Montague Design team was brought on board to transform their living room, family room, dining area, and more, seamlessly integrating functionality with style. The original layout featured a living room that served as a music room, a family room that doubled as an exercise space, and a dining room that also functioned as a craft area and office. However, the home lacked adequate storage solutions, and the existing furniture had accumulated over time without a cohesive design. To address these challenges, the design team proposed a comprehensive renovation that emphasized both practicality and aesthetic appeal. New cabinetry was crafted to extend to the ceiling, maximizing vertical storage and providing a sleek, modern look. The selection of furniture was carefully curated to meet the family's needs while complementing the overall design style of the home.
