Arbors by Waltons Garden Center Waltons Garden Center is excited to showcase a beautiful landscaping called Arbors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area where we serve communities such as Dallas, Garland, Highland Park, Mesquite, Richardson and University Park. The goal of the was to create a relaxing outdoor space that balances function and beauty in a landscaped area. At the heart of the Arbors we are proud to feature custom-designed wooden arbors built from sustainably sourced cedar which will be architecturally stunning in addition to resisting the Southern California weather. Our talented work staff of arborists and horticulturalists designed the arbors to include climbing vines and flowering plants, not only enhancing the vertical spaces, but creating an integrated lush experience to enjoy. The installation did encounter some challenges with the differing site topography and existing tree root systems raised a number of complications for the original plan. As a result our landscape architects came up with a number of creative solutions for modifications to the site design which included raised beds and terraced planting areas to ensure proper drainage and to keep the existing organisms in good tact. Choosing native plants afforded two benefits to minimalize maintenance and ultimately contribute to the sustainability and biodiversity of plant materials in the area. Beyond the arbors we included pathways made from natural stone which provided a functional way to meander through weedless ornamental grasses and perennial blooms. There was also considered ambient lighting to highlight the space as well as allow for the guest to enjoy the arbors and paths, even after the sun went down. The result was a beautiful outdoor space that surpassed all of our clients expectations - a harmonious blend of peacefulness with beauty. The Arbors exemplifies Waltons Garden Center's commitment to craftsmanship, creativity and dedication to beautiful landscapes that improve the lives of our clients.
