About This Project

The West Alabama project in Florence, Alabama, transformed a rental home from a bland, uninspired space into a vibrant reflection of the client’s personality. Our young client desired a temporary home that echoed the warmth and character of her previous residence, yet avoided overindulgence. The challenge was to create a welcoming environment using existing furnishings while introducing fresh elements that would invigorate the space without overwhelming it. To achieve this, we carefully evaluated the current pieces in the home. By employing a thoughtful color palette, we revitalized the living areas with a selection of paints that complemented the existing dec. Soft, inviting hues were chosen to create an atmosphere of comfort, while accent walls were introduced to add depth and visual interest. The use of bold, contrasting colors in select areas enhanced the character of the space, creating focal points that drew the eye and invited conversation. In addition to painting, we incorporated new design ideas that aligned with the client’s vision. By sourcing unique accessories and art pieces that reflected her style, we were able to personalize the home significantly. Textiles played a crucial role in this transformation; we selected cozy throws and decorative pillows that not only enhanced the aesthetic but also contributed to the overall warmth and comfort of the environment. The craftsmanship involved in this project was evident in the meticulous execution of each design element. Every detail was considered, from the selection of materials to the placement of furniture, ensuring a harmonious flow throughout the home. The final outcome was a beautifully curated space that not only met the client’s expectations but also provided a sense of belonging and comfort, making it feel like home. This project not only showcased our ability to adapt and innovate within constraints but also highlighted the joy of creating personalized spaces that resonate with their inhabitants.
