Nestled in the picturesque foothills of the Sandia Mountains, this home presented a unique opportunity to create an extraordinary deck and staircase system that would not only enhance the exterior aesthetics but also provide functional access to the breathtaking views. The steep slope proved to be a design challenge, yet it inspired a creative approach that resulted in a spacious deck that elegantly complements the natural landscape. The project involved the construction of a multi-level deck that seamlessly integrates with the home's architecture while maximizing the outdoor space. The primary deck serves as a perfect gathering area, featuring durable, weather-resistant materials that ensure longevity and minimal maintenance. The deck's expansive surface allows for various outdoor activities, from entertaining guests to enjoying serene moments in nature. To navigate the challenging terrain, we designed a series of stairs that gracefully ascend and descend the hillside. This included a stunning three-level spiral staircase that serves as both a functional element and a striking visual centerpiece. Crafted from high-quality materials, the staircase features intricate ironwork that adds a touch of elegance and sophistication.
