About This Project

Native Plantings by Weesies Bros. Garden Centers & Landscaping Located in and around Montague, Weesies Bros. Garden Centers & Landscaping is proud to launch the 'Native Plantings' , which emphasizes local plants that help contribute to beauty and biodiversity. At Weesies Bros. Garden Centers & Landscaping, our work was to convert an existing lawn area into a sustainable landscape that thrives in the Muskegon climate. The featured a variety of native plant species of butterfly weed, black-eyed Susan, coneflower, and others that not only provide beauty to the landscape but also attract beneficial pollinators. The contractor also used organic soil amendments to ensure growing processes for sustainability, and an irrigation system promoting water conservation. One challenge of the site was to manage water drainage. The contractor graded the site creating gentle slopes that directed water naturally created while providing erosion control. After grading, the plants remained where they belong, and a sustainable landscape would ultimately be created. The end results demonstrate an incredible array of color and textural diversity that fits into the surrounding ecology. The native plantings not only transformed the client's outdoor experience but also created a new environment with various wildlife. The client was fulfilled with the redesign of their landscape, providing a peaceful experience in their outdoor space, and providing an opportunity to educate their family and neighbors. Weesies Bros. Garden Centers & Landscaping strives to enhance our community's presence in Montague, Muskegon, New Era, North Muskegon, Rothbury, Whitehall, Spring Lake, Silver Lake, Pentwater, Ludington, and Hamlin Lake. The Native Planting portrays our continued commitment to the fine craft of building and becoming responsible stewards in this community's stunning landscape and positive natural eye candy.
