The Portland Downtown Residence stands as a testament to innovative urban renovation, skillfully transforming a once-utilitarian parking lot into a vibrant living space that harmonizes with its historic surroundings. The project features a striking corten-steel clad addition, chosen for its distinctive warmth and textured surface that beautifully complements the 100-year-old brick structure it adjoins. This modern extension encompasses an array of guest bedrooms and a luxurious master suite, designed for comfort and elegance, alongside a spacious terrace that invites outdoor relaxation. Inside, an extensive renovation of the original building has resulted in a sophisticated living environment tailored to the owners' lifestyle. At the heart of the home is a professional-grade kitchen, equipped with high-end appliances and thoughtful layout, perfect for culinary enthusiasts. In addition, two dedicated offices provide functional spaces for productivity, while a state-of-the-art screening room offers a cinematic experience right at home. An exercise room rounds out the interior, promoting health and wellness within the residence. The design ethos of this project emphasizes seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces.
