About This Project

The House on the Hill Nashville is a remarkable transformation of a 1973 home that sought to honor its original architectural vision while infusing modern comforts and aesthetics. Upon acquisition, the new owner uncovered original blueprints that hinted at Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired elements, yet the home remained unfinished. Embracing the challenge, we undertook a comprehensive gut renovation, extending the footprint of the house to the right, left, and front, ultimately expanding it from 3,000 square feet to an impressive 6,200 square feet. The design decisions throughout this project were driven by a commitment to both functionality and artistry. We removed the original 9-foot ceilings to create a stunning vaulted ceiling with multiple angles, which enhances the sense of space and light within the main living areas. This dramatic feature not only adds character but also pays homage to the architectural roots of the home. Throughout the interior, we selected high-quality materials, including light wood cabinets and wood countertops, which complement the home’s natural surroundings and add warmth and sophistication. To further enrich the property, we constructed a two-story Art Barn that serves as a versatile space for creativity and leisure, along with a whole-house generator system to ensure uninterrupted power supply. The craftsmanship involved in restoring and expanding this home reflects a meticulous attention to detail, with each element thoughtfully chosen to create a harmonious balance between the old and the new. The outcome is a stunning residence that not only fulfills the original design intent but elevates it, offering a unique blend of modern living and timeless architectural beauty. The House on the Hill Nashville stands as a testament to innovative design and quality craftsmanship, making it a perfect home for those who appreciate both comfort and artistry in their living spaces.
