Stunning water feature including a calm pond and a naturalistic waterfall are key landscape elements. Here is where fire plays such an important element, because not only does it provide a focal point, but it adds an element of sound that encourages relaxation and contemplation. The slope on the property presented some issues, and coming up with some inventive solutions for drainage and access was a challenge. We have built retaining walls from recycled timber and out-cropped natural stone, which allows the construction of tiered garden beds both to manage the slope and give an attractive back drop to the plantings.
