This large scale landscape turned a difficult rocky landscape into an inviting outdoor space that integrates beautifully with the surrounding landscape. The work started at the specific task of having to fight a property that had an uneven rocky ground. The landscape professionals we at got to work surveying the property to help formulate a plan which not only built up the curb appeal but functionality as well. Natural stone boulders and decorative gravel pathways were used in a mix to create a rustic yet polished feel that fit the natural surroundings perfectly. The use of native plants was a highlight of the Rocky Ground . We chose a wide range of drought-resistant plants, including colorful wildflower and sturdy shrubs, all of which do well in the local climate and provide an attraction for wildlife. This pick, did not only ensure sustainability, but also reduced the maintenance efforts, homeowners had to carry out. We also built a dry creek bed which is a custom feature to help with drainage and is much more visually pleasing than a new preferred pond style approach. To address the sloping nature of the site, our talented team created terraced garden beds that bulk up the biophilia experience, but also present the delight of growing a home food garden for the homeowners, gaining an abundance of fresh produce each season. The end result is a stunning design where the functional aspects are mixed with nature. The homeowners were excited with how it turned out, as their backyard had turned into a peaceful area to unwind and even entertain.
