Snapshot: Fair Oaks, CA Rose Garden Verne Pershing, The Art of Gardening, is pleased to present the splendid 'Fair Oaks, CA Rose Garden,' a that was thoughtfully planned and executed! This revitalized a boring backyard in the middle of Fair Oaks and transformed it into a garden bursting with color and fragrance. The garden incorporates over 200 hand-selected varieties of roses that were chosen for fall durability and beauty, providing color for 6 months every spring to fall! The design enables visitors to stroll through the garden on decorative brick pathways of varying curvature to reflect a "bird's eye" view of random shapes filled with greenery and flowers. All materials, both hard and soft, are sustainable and durable, including the local stone for the raised beds and organic mulch. One of the biggest challenges we faced was the area's highly variable soil quality, presenting a serious risk to the roses' health. Fortunately, we procured an in-depth soil analysis and built an amended soil plan accordingly. The irrigation had carefully studied achieving the goal of appropriate moisture while conserving water, which was a major consideration in our area. The end result is a stunning rose garden that enhances the beauty of the home while providing a peaceful escape for the homeowners and company. Our client has delighted in the bold blooms and lovely scented air and appreciates all that has been achieved above and beyond their imagination, particularly being in a beautiful area to have family gatherings and quiet time.
