Patios/Backyard by Presidential Park Landscape Inc. In the peaceful town of Norwell, Presidential Park Landscape Inc. recently completed a beautiful renovation of a client's backyard that completely changed their approach to outdoor living at home. This focused on building a usable patio space that combined beauty and utility. Using high-end, local materials, we transformed the space with a large stone patio using high-quality bluestone pavers for a classic, durable finish. These pavers were installed in an elaborate pattern for visual interest and to provide a slip-resistant surface for outdoor entertaining and space for family and friends. Surrounding the stone patio, we created beautiful and practical flower garden beds with the use of native plants for low-maintenance and biodiversity. The biggest challenge we faced in the makeover was the initial conditions of the backyard, which was very uneven and made it difficult to establish a flat patio area. Our site crew used creative grading and earthen retention with decorative stone walls to establish a flat surface and the necessary structure of a durable patio while enhancing the rustic charm of the space. The patio area has subtle landscape lightscaping for the evenings that illuminates the patio and the beautiful greenery at night. The custom-built pergola provides shade and an inviting area, particularly with the addition of outdoor furniture. The end result is a stunning outdoor space that not only fulfilled the clients' original requests but exceeded expectations for relaxing and entertaining guests and family and enjoying nighttime sitting under the stars.
