About This Project

The Castle on Beaver Lake project represents a remarkable fusion of innovative design and traditional craftsmanship, revitalizing a partially completed structure that had languished unfinished for years. Located in the picturesque setting of Garfield, AR, this project was initiated in 2020 with a clear vision: to create a distinctive roof line that would not only add character but also maximize the openness of the interior space by minimizing structural obstructions. Our design approach was heavily influenced by extensive research into historical castle construction techniques and old-world building methods. This thorough investigation allowed us to draw inspiration from timeless architectural elements, ensuring that the new roof structure would not only be aesthetically pleasing but also structurally sound and enduring. The challenge was unique; the roof needed to be constructed on the ground before being lifted into position, a feat requiring precision engineering and skilled craftsmanship to ensure safety and stability at heights exceeding 50 feet. To achieve the desired architectural vision, we selected high-quality materials that reflect both durability and elegance, capturing the essence of classic castle design while meeting modern construction standards. The roof features intricate details that echo the grandeur of historic castles, such as steep pitches and elaborate gables, all while providing a contemporary twist that complements the surrounding landscape.
