The Twist on a Classic Remodel project transformed a divided bathroom into a beautifully functional space that blends modern aesthetics with classic design elements. Initially, the bathroom was segmented into two distinct areas: a vanity space and a separate shower and toilet room. The project began with the removal of an outdated acrylic shower surround, revealing a significant challenge hidden behind the walls—extensive termite damage. This unexpected discovery required immediate attention, leading to the replacement of the exterior siding and sheathing. Our skilled team reframed the affected wall and window, ensuring the structural integrity of the space before progressing with the remodeling. Once the structural repairs were completed, the focus shifted to creating a stunning custom tile shower as the focal point of the bathroom. Departing from conventional design, we opted for larger 8" x 20" subway tiles for the shower walls, providing a fresh twist on the traditional 3" x 6" size. This choice not only modernized the look but also added a sense of spaciousness. The shower was further enhanced with luxurious features, including a marble bench for comfort, recessed niches for stylish storage, and a rain head shower fixture paired with a handheld wand, offering versatility and a spa-like experience. To create a cohesive design throughout the bathroom, we extended the wall tile down to the exterior wall in the toilet area, forming an elegant accent that complements the overall aesthetic. The result of this remodel is a transitional bathroom that seamlessly combines functionality with sophisticated design, providing an inviting space that meets the needs of modern living while paying homage to classic elements. This project exemplifies our commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the remodel meets the highest standards of excellence.
