In the heart of Morrison, Colorado, the “Cozy Comfortable Rustic Modern” project redefined a rustic lodge home for a client relocating from the Bay Area. The primary goal was to revitalize the interior, reducing the overwhelming lodge aesthetic while maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere. The design journey commenced with an assessment of the existing space, which featured an abundance of wooden elements that contributed to a dated and somewhat dysfunctional look. To achieve a harmonious balance, our team implemented a fresh color palette and strategic design elements. The centerpiece of the transformation was the kitchen, where we installed painted cabinets that elegantly contrasted with the striking wood beam ceiling. This choice not only brightened the space but also added a modern touch, seamlessly blending rustic charm with contemporary style.
