Z. Residence by Breezy Hill Nursery Inc. Located in the peaceful haven of Kenosha, the Z. Residence represents Breezy Hill Nursery Inc.'s mission to transform outdoor spaces into beautiful hideaways. The design of this full-scale landscape centered on increasing the aesthetics of the home without sacrificing the entertaining and engagement of the client and their family by creating a usable outdoor living space. The showcases a well-designed hardscape that incorporates beautiful stone walkways in addition to a custom patio of pavers that provide a lasting blend of style and durability to the residential experience. This patio space allows the client to entertain family and friends in style while being surrounded by a variety of lush plantings that create year-round interest. We selected an assortment of perennials, ornamental grasses, and flowering shrubs that create a colorful experience for the client, while supporting pollinators and minimizing maintenance needs in the landscape. An obstacle that presented itself during this was the uneven grade and leaky drainage in the backyard. To remedy this, Breezy Hill Nursery Inc. installed a drainage system with effective grading to alleviate most of the pooling and drainage issues that would otherwise hinder the landscape beds and associated plants. Additionally, the raised planters provided a unique appearance and further addressed drainage issues. Overall, the client was very pleased with the Z. Residence , which transformed their space into a beautiful oasis that functioned as a combination of the two key metrics of design: beauty and function. The hardscaping elements of the landscape combined with the vegetative elements will invite family and friends to enjoy the outside venue year-round.
