Here is an evening view of the same space. Environmental Design & Landscaping LLC. This was all adding both form and function with professionally designed deck and landscape lighting. We then developed a lighting plan that was designed to work with the existing landscaping. Using quality, durable LED lighting, we highlighted the large wooden deck, garden beds, pathway and other areas. The lights, though, had a more functional purpose, to provide warm ambient lighting that both lit up the plantings and also provided safety and accessibility lighting for nighttime events. However, one of the major challenges we had was the uneven ground surrounding the deck. Our talented landscape crew levelled out spaces while keeping existing plants in their original state, and even our lights were placed in a way that provides just the right amount of light without being too illuminating. It looks sensational, as the interplay between light and shadow provides character to the architectural features of the deck while influencing our very emotions in creating a space that helps relax the mind, body and soul. The result was a very happy customer who can now enjoy their oasis long after the sun goes down. The strategic integration of functional and decorative outdoor lighting not only made their outdoor space more usable but also significantly increased value for their home.
