Brick Custom Edging Garden by Community Development and Investment LLC Located in the heart of Atlanta is the Brick Custom Edging Garden, showcasing the talent and work of Community Development and Investment LLC. This , which caters to the various communities of Buckhead, College Park, Druid Hills, and other parts of the Atlanta metropolitan area, took a nondescript landscape to an outdoor living space. The main component of this was brick edging that was designed for durability and aesthetics. The team worked closely with the client to select a rich, earthy color that complemented the existing plants in the garden. Each brick was hand-laid for precision and to match in scale along with the entire garden space, which provided an attractive contrast between the garden beds and lawn areas. The team encountered different challenges along the way, particularly with the slope of the site. The team created a tiered garden with retaining walls made out of the same custom bricks to address the sloping site and create a flow to the garden that added dimension as well. They also incorporated native plants, which met biodiversity goals and creatively addressed the conditions of the garden with minimal maintenance. The end result is a well-designed garden that pleases the client and the neighborhood. The Brick Custom Edging Garden is full of blooming plants and greenery, providing a lovely mixed-use outdoor space and welcoming entrance.
