The Almont House project, located in Montrose, CO, embodies a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal, reflecting the unique personality of the client while enhancing the rustic charm of the Colorado landscape. This cabin renovation began in 2020 and focused on transforming key areas, most notably the kitchen, dining room, and bathroom, to create a cohesive and inviting space. In the kitchen, we installed full-height splashes that serve both practical and visual purposes, enhancing the cooking area while adding a contemporary touch. The farmhouse sink, a central feature of the kitchen, was beautifully tiled at the front, providing a striking focal point that complements the overall design. The custom banquette in the dining room not only maximizes seating but also adds a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for family gatherings or entertaining guests. The choice of materials throughout the cabin, including warm woods and modern finishes, fosters a welcoming environment that resonates with the natural surroundings. The bathroom underwent a remarkable transformation into what we affectionately termed the "Bathhouse." This space features an entry with a stunning copper roof above the shower, which not only serves as a functional element but also adds an artistic flair that enhances the overall design. The meticulous craftsmanship involved in the tiling and fixtures showcases the high level of attention to detail, ensuring that every aspect of the bathroom is both beautiful and durable. Overall, the Almont House project stands as a testament to innovative design and skilled workmanship. The successful integration of the client’s individuality into the design elements has resulted in a warm, inviting retreat that is both practical and visually appealing.
