About This Project

The Conyers Tween Bedroom project represents a stylish transformation of a once ordinary girls' bedroom into a chic and inviting tween space, perfectly tailored for both relaxation and creativity. Located in Covington, GA, this redesign embraces a vibrant color palette featuring bright yellow, soft lavender, sophisticated gray, and striking black, which together create a lively yet harmonious environment. The use of Sherwin Williams Eider White paint on the walls provides a fresh and airy base, enhancing the room's natural light and spacious feel. A dramatic focal point was achieved through the application of a gorgeous grey-blue trellis patterned peel-and-stick wallpaper on one wall, infusing the room with personality and depth. To further elevate the aesthetic, we incorporated a pair of pom pom off-white and black drapes, elegantly hung and pulled open with matte black curtain holdbacks, which add a touch of whimsy and sophistication. The bedding selected for the platform TwinXL bed came from Pottery Barn Teen, featuring organic luxury materials and a full-size fur throw that adds both texture and warmth. To anchor the space, a large area rug in vibrant yellow and purple was placed under the bed, providing a cozy foundation that ties the color scheme together seamlessly. In the corner, a super cozy bamboo chair filled with toss pillows was introduced, creating an inviting nook perfect for reading and retreating. The finishing touches included personal photos and decorative elements that reflect the young inhabitant's personality and interests, making the room truly feel like her own. The craftsmanship and careful selection of materials throughout this project not only ensured durability but also established a contemporary yet playful atmosphere that meets the demands of a growing tween. The outcome is a beautifully designed bedroom that balances style with functionality, offering an inspiring retreat for creativity and relaxation. This project, completed in 2020 with a budget range of $5001 to $7500, showcases the potential of transforming a space into a personal sanctuary.
