The first phase of the renovation involved addressing structural issues, including the straightening of walls and the roof, which had succumbed to sagging over the years. This foundational work ensured a solid framework for the enhancements that followed. New siding was installed, embracing the traditional Craftsman style while offering improved durability and weather resistance. The addition of energy-efficient windows not only brightened the interior but also contributed to the overall energy performance of the garage. The garage doors were thoughtfully selected to complement the architectural style, providing both charm and practicality. An aesthetic overhang was incorporated into the design, enhancing the visual appeal and creating a welcoming entrance. To maximize the usability of the space, functional access to the attic level was introduced via newly crafted stairs, allowing for additional storage or usage options. The interior was refinished with attention to detail, creating a polished and inviting environment that can serve multiple purposes, from a workshop to a recreational area. A collaboration with a solar panel installer culminated in the strategic placement of 16 solar panels on the roof, reflecting a commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
