Fire Pits by Basnight Land and Lawn Inc. Basnight Land and Lawn Inc. has completed a very exciting landscape package and installation job in Chesapeake, Moyock, and Virginia Beach that revolved around the installation of custom fire pits! The purpose of this package was to create beautiful outdoor spaces for our families to congregate, tell stories, and make lasting memories. The package included a total of three fire pits, all unique in their own way, yet similar in aesthetics to the existing home. The fire pits were made of high-quality materials, including natural stone and heat-resistant pavers, so they seamlessly matched the natural landscape while being exceptionally durable. Our design team specifically selected the natural stone to suit the outdoor elements to further increase the beauty of the clients' backyards. One challenge we ran into was terrain that varied with each individuals property. In Chesapeake, the yard sloped downhill which required planning and grading to achieve a level, safe place for the fire pit. In Moyock, we had to forego the use of a natural base to the fire pit because of existing drainage issues, so we utilized a landscaping technique to divert water away from the fire pit. In Virginia Beach, the challenge was tight space so we put together a compact package that maximized an area of functionality near the house. All of them instantly became beautiful focal points while providing warmth and ambiance on cool evenings. All three fire pits had seating areas made of natural stone benches, plus decorative landscape that included a wide mix of perennial varieties and soft mulching to increase coziness and aesthetics. Our clients loved their new fire pits and noted how satisfying it was that they changed their outdoor space into a destination.
