The Artisan Home Tour staging project in Kansas City, MO, showcased the exceptional collaboration between Amethyst and Freeman Custom Homes, resulting in a breathtaking 5,000 square foot European Modern home. This luxurious residence was designed to captivate, featuring a harmonious blend of innovative architecture and exquisite craftsmanship. From the moment one stepped inside, the meticulous attention to detail was evident, highlighted by striking elements such as a secret staircase in the master bath leading to a private plunge pool, and an airy kitchen adorned with towering mushroom-colored cabinetry and handmade zellige tile. Our involvement began during the cabinetry phase, allowing us to witness the builders' vision come to life. The final design unfolded with delightful surprises, including valet-like storage solutions in the entryway and a stunning limestone fireplace that served as a central focal point. Understanding the essence of this home, we curated a selection of furnishings that echoed the craftsmanship and artistry inherent in the architecture. With a design philosophy celebrating handmade rugs, custom artisan seating, and a dynamic mix of old and new art, our selections were thoughtfully chosen to complement the home’s unique character. The staging process was an exhilarating experience, requiring three full trucks to transport the carefully selected pieces that would fill the main level. Our efforts not only enhanced the visual appeal of the home but also resonated with the homeowners, who expressed their admiration by selecting several items to keep. As we completed the staging, a mix of emotions filled the air — joy for the owners and nostalgia for our team, who had become attached to this masterpiece. The project culminated in a stunning display for the Artisan Home Tour, leaving a lasting impression on visitors and affirming the power of exceptional design in transforming a house into a cherished home.
