About This Project

Transforming a dark, detached garage into a vibrant guest suite was a rewarding journey that exemplified our commitment to innovative design and functionality. Located in Fort Worth, TX, this project embarked in 2020 with a vision to create a dynamic, multi-purpose space that could accommodate social gatherings during the day and provide a comfortable retreat for guests at night. The original double car garage featured built-in storage shelving that was carefully removed to make way for a thoughtfully designed layout. The centerpiece of the transformation is a beautifully constructed full bathroom, strategically raised to avoid trenching the concrete for plumbing. This design choice not only preserved the integrity of the existing structure but also enhanced the overall aesthetics of the guest suite. Adjacent to the bathroom, a kitchenette was incorporated, providing essential amenities for guests and enabling effortless entertaining. The entertainment wall, crafted with precision, serves as both a focal point and a functional element, housing a television and ample storage to keep the area organized and clutter-free. Additionally, we included a versatile craft/study desk area that seamlessly folds up into the wall, maximizing space without sacrificing style. The exercise area encourages an active lifestyle, while built-in storage cabinets ensure that all belongings have a designated place. A murphy bed offers a smart solution for accommodating overnight visitors, effortlessly transforming the space from a lively hangout to a cozy sleeping area. To complete the transformation, we designed an inviting outdoor sitting area, perfect for enjoying the Texas sun. Each design choice reflects a commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring that even the smallest spaces can leave a lasting impact. This garage-to-guest suite transformation stands as a testament to our dedication to creating spaces that blend functionality with comfort, inviting friends and family to gather and enjoy for years to come.
