The puts a spin on that concept, fusing graceful desert plantings with the calming influence of water features to create a balanced oasis within the desert environment. At the heart of the is a dense array of winding waterways, meant to replicate the natural movement of streams through the desert. We used native plants surrounded with river rock, to create beautiful yet functional waterways made from our quality, eco-friendly materials. The team took special care to choose drought-tolerant plants like agave, yucca and desert marigold that do well in our climate while providing colorful blooms all year round. A major difficulty encountered throughout this was the limited water resources available in the desert. XL Landscape Development implemented a sophisticated rainwater collection system to collect the area's scarce rains and channel it back to the landscape. Utilizing this creative solution helps save this precious resource and compliments sustainable landscaping approaches. The resultant image is simply stunning. Local wildlife flock to the waterways whilst the scenic backdrop makes for a great spot for outdoor entertaining and relaxation. They were excited with the result and appreciated the thoughtful design linking the waterway to the landscape.
