The rustic kitchen project in Kennewick, Washington, beautifully encapsulates the essence of farmhouse charm while addressing the functional needs of a modern family. The clients expressed a desire for a warm and inviting atmosphere, ideal for entertaining loved ones. To achieve this, we focused on creating an open layout that fosters connection, allowing guests to mingle comfortably throughout the space, even when not directly in the kitchen. A standout feature of this kitchen is the custom live edge countertops crafted from stunning blued pine. This material not only adds a touch of natural beauty but also serves as a practical workspace, complete with an under-mount sink that enhances the seamless flow of the countertop. The organic shapes of the live edge provide a unique character, ensuring that each piece is one-of-a-kind. Complementing the countertops, we incorporated walnut live edge shelves, perfect for displaying cherished knick-knacks and adding to the rustic aesthetic. One of the significant transformations in this project was the conversion of a corner cabinet into a spacious walk-in pantry, addressing the clients' storage needs effectively. This pantry features a custom barn door, which not only serves as a functional entry but also contributes to the overall farmhouse style, seamlessly integrating modern convenience with rustic charm. The craftsmanship involved in this project speaks to the quality and attention to detail that Remodels Plus Construction is known f. From the selection of materials to the final installation, every aspect was meticulously executed to create a cohesive and inviting space.
