During the course of the , our team faced several obstacles; unevenness of the surface and potential drainage and water management challenges that needed to be carefully addressed to promote viability and plant health / longevity in the landscape development. We adopted an all-inclusive grading plan to address the problems we identified. The grading plan ensured that water would flow smoothly and that erosion would not take away the new investment made in landscape development. After proper grading and site prep, we set the ground work for the outdoor living space. The plan included a large, functional and beautiful patio area made of natural flagstone, which adds quality and complements the beautiful surroundings. Nestled around the inviting patio, we created an engaging and colorful garden bed filled, as much as nature allows, with a diverse selection of native perennial and perennial and ornamental grasses that will survive and thrive given the proper conditions while helping support and engage the local wild life. With the introduction of boulders and natural stone outcropping sprinkled throughout the garden, we were able to seamlessly connect this plan to provide rhythm between hardscape and softscape. In order to enjoy the patio and garden year round, we incorporated ambient lighting that showcases and highlights the cool features, while creating ambient lighting in the evening. The final product is an inviting and warm community atmosphere that would lend itself well hosting either small gatherings or a quiet night under the stars.
