Bastion Construction Services Inc. is thrilled to showcase the ‘Cozy Patio Design’ , an amazing outdoor remodeling completed in the beautiful community of Palo Alto. The was a true representation of our commitment to quality and artistry and truly transformed an outdoor living area into a beautiful sanctuary. Our design team put considerable thought into the layout, focusing on the selection of natural stone pavers with complementary natural colour designs that flowed with the overall aesthetic of the area. The patio consisted of a mixture of strong bluestone and porcelain tile. Both surfaces were intended for durability, unique aesthetics, and function in outdoor spaces. The inviting warmth that the space evokes comes from the built-in fire pit with comfortable seating scattered throughout, making it perfect for the client’s family and friends to gather together on a cool evening. One of the unique challenges was the uneven backyard slope that would require extra leveling and drainage work to ensure the long-term success of the outdoor living space’s function. Our skilled crew used an impressive system of grading to divert water away from the patio to protect the investment and keep the area beautiful. Along with the patio, soft landscaping was added for native plants, ornamental shrubs, and positive surroundings. Lighting was also smartly installed to showcase the landscaping and create an unbelievably positive ambiance at night. The final product was an exceptionally beautiful outdoor retreat that impressed the client and provided a functional four-season outdoor area as designed. The client’s joy was evident once they began stepping onto the patio, and fully embraced the exceptional dining and relaxation space design for family and friends. Again, this provides assurance of the quality and attention to detail we stand for, not only in Palo Alto but throughout the Bay Area, including Atherton, Burlingame, and beyond.
