During the course of the project, we recognized the opportunity to enhance the overall functionality of the home by renovating the upstairs bathroom, ensuring it reflected modern aesthetics while offering improved usability. As we moved into phase two of development, the vision expanded to include the remodeling of the living room. By capturing an adjacent room, we created a spacious and inviting environment that encourages both relaxation and entertainment. This thoughtful approach allowed us to introduce a guest suite and a dedicated guest bath, providing comfort and privacy for visitors. The use of high-quality materials throughout the project, including elegant fixtures and contemporary finishes, ensured that each space is not only functional but also exudes a sense of luxury. An unexpected challenge arose with the damage to the existing accessory dwelling unit (ADU) caused by Hurricane Helene. However, this setback was transformed into an opportunity for innovation as we reimagined the structure to serve as an office and pavilion. The incorporation of open spaces and natural light into this area fosters creativity and productivity, making it an ideal workspace while also serving as a versatile gathering spot. Ultimately, the Jones Ave Addition 1 project showcases a harmonious blend of design and function, resulting in a home that is not only enhanced in its layout but also elevated in its aesthetic appeal.
