About This Project

The DeYoung Master Bathroom project transformed a dated space into a luxurious retreat that expertly balances functionality and aesthetic appeal. The homeowners sought to enhance their bathroom by expanding the shower area and updating the overall design. To achieve this, we meticulously removed the existing fiberglass insert that served as the shower, allowing us to create a more spacious and inviting shower environment, complete with a stunning floor-to-ceiling tiled finish that adds a touch of elegance. In our design, we chose to carry the same tile concept through to the skirt and backsplash of the tub, resulting in a harmonious look that ties the entire bathroom together. The challenge arose when the homeowners expressed a desire to retain their existing floor tile, which was approximately 20 years old and discontinued. We advised against mixing new tile with older pieces; however, understanding the importance of preserving what they loved, we committed to finding a suitable match. After thorough research and selection, we successfully identified a tile that complemented the existing flooring, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic without compromising on style. The craftsmanship displayed throughout this project is evident in the intricate details of the tiling work and the seamless integration of the various design elements. Our team worked diligently to ensure that every aspect, from the plumbing to the finishing touches, met the high standards expected in a modern bathroom renovation. The result is a beautifully cohesive space that radiates luxury and comfort. The DeYoung Master Bathroom is now a testament to thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship, offering the homeowners a spacious, elegant oasis that meets their needs and enhances their daily routines.
