About This Project

Z. Landscape by Legends Landscaping Inc. The Z. Landscape is a beautifully transformed property located right in the middle of Boise, Idaho as part of a build-out service provided by Legends Landscaping Inc. We had the challenge of combining the functionality that comes from such a large house on a large lot, with the wanted curb appeal, while serving the neighborhoods of Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Meridian, Middleton, Nampa, and Star. We started the with an extensive site analysis, mapping important elements of the site including what was there already: Trees, topo and light. Our team of expert landscapers made sure to add a wide variety of native plants known for their durability and minimal care. It consisted of an approachable local sand-stone path, leading to a communal area where stone benches, that were personally crafted in place, were placed. Framed by colorful flower beds and ornamental grasses, this corner of the yard serves as a calming escape for our clients. The also faced the significant challenge of having to do massive grading to account for uneven ground and sufficient drainage to avoid water flooding and wash out the pavement. We dug a complex drainage system that we sealed with a high-efficiency filter all around so that the character of the landscape was preserved whilst working to keep water where we placed plants and seep it away were we wanted none. We also implemented an advanced irrigation system that minimizes water used while ensuring the recently planted plants thrive. The end product is a gorgeous outdoor space that increases the curb appeal of the property and provides an entertaining area for the family. Our clients have loved the balance of hardscapes and softscapes, and their new vibrant sustainable landscape that suit their lifestyle. Z.
