The Bedroom Refresh project in Grosse Pointe Woods, MI, exemplifies the transformative power of thoughtful design. Initiated in 2020, this project addressed the concerns of homeowners Steve and Traci, who found their bedroom to be cold and sterile, lacking the warmth and personality they desired. Through a House-Coaching™️ Consultation, we collaborated closely with the couple to create a space that not only reflects their individuality but also invites relaxation and comfort. The design choices made during this refresh were intentional and impactful. We focused on a transitional style that harmoniously blends modern elements with classic touches, allowing for a timeless yet contemporary feel. Each wall was carefully considered, with color palettes that evoke a sense of tranquility. Soft, muted tones were selected to replace the stark, unwelcoming hues, creating a serene environment conducive to rest. Textured wall treatments and strategic accent walls added depth and interest, making every corner of the room feel inviting. Materials played a pivotal role in the transformation. We incorporated high-quality fabrics for bedding and drapery that offered both aesthetic appeal and comfort. Luxurious textiles in warm colors enhanced the cozy atmosphere, while carefully chosen furniture pieces provided functionality without compromising style. The craftsmanship involved in this project was meticulous; from the custom-built shelving that showcased personal mementos to the artisanal lighting fixtures that provided both ambiance and elegance, every detail was executed with care. The outcome of the Bedroom Refresh project was not merely a visual enhancement but a profound change in how Steve and Traci experience their home. Their bedroom has evolved into a personal sanctuary, a space that encourages lingering and relaxation.
