Nestled in the heart of a family’s whole house remodel, this project was initiated to restore the home’s original grandeur while incorporating the conveniences of contemporary living. The original laundry room, situated in an enclosed porch, featured bare shiplap walls and a plywood subfloor, creating a stark contrast to the envisioned warm and inviting atmosphere. Blackline Renovations undertook the challenge of repurposing part of the enclosed porch while slightly expanding into the original kitchen's footprint, efficiently optimizing the limited space. The design focused on creating a functional laundry room that would meet the family's needs without sacrificing style. The result was an innovative layout featuring floor-to-ceiling cabinetry that not only provided ample storage but also ensured a seamless integration with the home's historical context. A stacked washer and dryer were strategically positioned to maximize space, complemented by a dedicated folding station and a designated drying area. Unique to this remodel, the lower cabinet beneath the drying area was custom-designed to discreetly conceal a cat litter box, showcasing a thoughtful approach to both aesthetics and practicality. Every square inch of the room was meticulously utilized, reflecting the craftsmanship and attention to detail that Blackline Renovations is known f.
