About This Project

The Grand Entrance project redefines the initial impression of this two-story foyer, creating a space that exudes grandeur and invites curiosity about the rest of the home. The objective was to infuse the entrance with vibrancy and character, ensuring it mirrored the aesthetic appeal found throughout the residence. Initially, the space felt sterile and lacked visual interest, prompting a thoughtful redesign that began with a fresh coat of paint. Utilizing Benjamin Moore Simply White, a warm and soft hue, we transformed the walls to create a bright and welcoming atmosphere that complements various design styles. To enhance the modern feel of the entrance, the existing light fixtures were replaced with contemporary designs, incorporating elegant brass elements that add a touch of sophistication. The strategic use of wall molding played a pivotal role in elevating the entrance’s architectural presence. By applying intricate molding along the base of the stairs and the stairwell wall, we introduced movement and visual dynamism, creating a captivating focal point that draws the eye upward and enhances the overall spatial experience. Craftsmanship was paramount throughout the project, with meticulous attention to detail in every aspect. The interplay of light, texture, and shape enriches the area, making it not only a passageway but a statement space that sets the tone for the entire home. The result is an entrance that feels both inviting and luxurious, embodying the essence of transitional design. The Grand Entrance stands as a testament to thoughtful design choices and skilled execution, culminating in a stunning entryway that leaves a lasting impression on all who enter. This project, completed in 2021 with a budget ranging from $5,001 to $7,500, showcases how strategic enhancements can transform an ordinary space into an extraordinary welcome.
