Picturesque Victorian, by Elite Landscape & Outdoor Living Located in the historic neighborhoods of Denver, the 'Picturesque Victorian' was a perfect combination of sophisticated elegance and modern landscaping practices. Elite Landscape & Outdoor Living completed the transformation of this lovely Victorian home while preserving the timeless beauty of the home and providing functional outdoor spaces for relaxation and entertaining. The presented photographs of a very thoughtfully designed garden of vibrant colors, including perennials, climbing roses, and ornamental grasses that tied a formal and colorful palette together in every season. We installed a customized picket fence along the perimeter of the property, in keeping with the Victorian architectural style. The colors of the fence and the quality of the materials, sustainable cedar wood to achieve an authentic look and durability, were thoughtfully selected. The property sloped down from the street into the back yard. To address the challenging topography, we constructed tiered garden beds filled with native plants that thrive in Colorado's climate. We also included a beautiful flagstone path that walked guests through the landscape from the front to the patio area in the back yard. The patio area, built from locally sourced stone and a customized fire pit with seating, was the perfect place to host friends and family for gatherings in the evening. To set the mood, we installed landscape lighting to enhance the home and garden when it gets dark. The result is a beautifully designed outdoor retreat that has Victorian charm with modern conveniences. The homeowner was ecstatic, stating the exceeded all expectations and would serve as the go-to place for family events and gatherings with the neighbors.
