The Prosperie project, initiated in 2022, is a stunning transformation that showcases the beauty and warmth of rustic design elements in a modern context. The focal point of this remodel was the fireplace, a central feature within the home that demanded a thoughtful design approach. Prior to the renovation, the fireplace was functional yet lacked the character and charm that the homeowners desired. The before photos distinctly illustrate a standard, uninspiring structure, setting the stage for a remarkable makeover. In reimagining the fireplace, we aimed to integrate natural materials that speak to the rustic aesthetic while ensuring longevity and durability. The design process began with selecting reclaimed wood beams for the mantel, which not only add visual interest but also a sense of history and authenticity. Complementing the wood, we chose a mosaic of stone tiles, carefully selected for their earthy tones that harmonize with the overall color palette of the space.
