About This Project

This contemporary kitchen remodel has transformed a common neighborhood space into a stunning reflection of modern design and functionality. The project commenced with the removal of the existing raised bar top, seamlessly integrating the kitchen into a more open and inviting layout. By eliminating the microwave cabinet on the range wall and replacing it with a sleek wall-mounted range hood, we not only improved the aesthetics but also enhanced the kitchen's overall efficiency. Recognizing that the existing cabinets were in good condition, we opted for cabinet refacing as a cost-effective solution. The upper cabinets were updated with a Stratus Super Matte finish, while the base cabinets were beautifully finished in Haze Super Matte. This two-tone color scheme adds depth and sophistication, while the full overlay doors and drawer fronts in a shaker style contribute to a clean, contemporary look. The installation of a new Carrera Venatino quartz countertop further elevates the kitchen’s elegance, providing a luxurious surface that is both durable and visually striking. Complementing the countertop, we chose a white picket style vertical backsplash tile that adds texture and interest, enhancing the contemporary vibe of the space. To complete the remodel, we installed a white Kraus undermount sink paired with a stylish bronze faucet, along with a soap dispenser and pulls that harmonize beautifully with the overall color palette. The addition of a contemporary bronze light fixture not only illuminates the kitchen but also serves as an eye-catching focal point, while features like the countertop bar glass cleaner and a 35qt waste pullout enhance practicality. This young couple now enjoys a kitchen that not only meets their functional needs but also reflects their modern style, showcasing a perfect blend of design, craftsmanship, and thoughtful renovation.
