About This Project

Covered Porch and Fireplace by Vintage Landscaping Nestled in the heart of Lancaster County, Vintage Landscaping executed the "Covered Porch and Fireplace" , transforming an outdoor space into a sanctuary where the family could spend time together. This impressive new addition will accommodate clients in Atglen, Bart, and the nearby areas, representing our dedication to quality workmanship. The involved an incredibly well-designed covered porch that not only competes with but assimilates into the existing vernacular of the home. The porch was built using high-end cedar wood that was even finished with a warm, durable stain which would allow for exposure to the elements. Offering large exposed beams and bucket loads of space, this porch can be the setting for an old-fashioned family gathering or a soothing night under the stars. Centrally located around the hearth, we build a stone fireplace made of locally quarried natural stone. Our masons were able to develop what is not only a beautiful focal point that provides warmth but also looks stunning when viewed. The entire fireplace is wrapped in comfortable, durable seating that is protected from the elements. During construction, we faced challenges that provided us obstacles to overcome; even grading and drainage issues. Furthermore, we had a sloped site that provided us debated obstructions for locating both the porch and fireplace. Our crew was able to resolve every issue so we could finish with ease while employing the thoughtful use of time-honored skills as well as modern construction techniques. When finished the client was ecstatic and delighted with how well the porch and fireplace assimilated into the overall landscape. We achieved this client's goal while also adding beauty to their property and providing a functional backyard space within their property.
