Summary: Steps & Walkway by 4 Seasons Landscaping, LLC 4 Seasons Landscaping, LLC is proud to have completed the “Steps & Walkway” to increase access and enhance the beauty of the outdoor space for a client in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. From across a broad community base that includes Vancouver, Camas and Salmon Creek, this involved transforming a steep and uneven area into an inviting entryway. The had stunning natural stone steps built from basalt that were quarried locally. Though they provide a secure foothold, the steps were designed to blend with the natural landscape. A curvilinear walkway was designed out of quality pavers in earth tones to create a gentle transition to the pathway. These tones coordinated perfectly with the surrounding garden beds of native plants and flowers. One of the main challenges was the significant elevation change. A skilled team built a retaining wall of decorative stone to provide stability while also creating visual interest. Drainage also became a need. Grading and permeable materials were used to facilitate drainage and stop water from pooling around and damaging the integrity of the pathway and plants. The end result was, in our opinion, a beautiful entryway that improved functionality, as well as curb appeal. Our client was excited with the completed , raving their new outdoor that blended comfort with beauty.
