Gallery by Cambridge Landscape Co. Inc. Cambridge Landscape Co. Inc. presents the ‘Gallery’ , a remarkable conversion of a residential outdoor space at the edge of Cambridge. This is a demonstration of our commitment to quality and artistry in landscaping, representing a symbiotic relationship between function and beauty. The Gallery contains a carefully constructed outdoor living area, which boasts a natural stone patio that beautifully balances with adjacent landscapes. We specified locally obtained bluestone due to its durability and appearance, as well as the way it invites family and friends to gather for outdoor festivities. A custom, built-in fire pit adds a centerpiece to the patio, surrounded by comfortable chairs for unwinding on cool evenings while gazing into the flickering flames. We also enriched the beauty of the experience by adding diverse collections of native plants and flowers that have been selected for their hardiness and year-long interest. These plantings serve a dual purpose of adding color through the seasons, as well as providing food and shelter for local wildlife while promoting biodiversity in the landscape. We also had to consider the challenges that the terrain posed on the site design. Our skillful crew was able to engineer a tiered garden layout, which employed retaining walls that were built from reclaimed granite boulders. The boulders add an aspect of solidity, but more effectively create stunning tiered levels that can be viewed from beneath, enhanced by depth and exploration. Finally, we added the nuances of ambient lighting to the landscape to illuminate/naturally highlight elements while also creating an ambient mood after the sun sets. The overall result is a spectacular experience that offers all that outdoor living embodies, while also illustrating the homeowner’s inspiration. The Gallery evidences the commitment that Cambridge Landscape Co. Inc. has for excellence, while providing us the opportunity to explore visually stimulating elements that are a direct result of treacherous complexities.
