The Weddington Downs Master Bath project represents a stunning transformation of a vintage 1995 second-floor master bathroom into a modern oasis. The original design featured a traditional garden tub accompanied by a 48" x 36" picture window, which not only limited the functional space but also hindered the overall aesthetic appeal. In reimagining this area, the design team replaced the outdated picture window with a stylish 12" transom window, creating the perfect opportunity to construct a spacious and luxurious shower. The new shower is a hallmark of contemporary design, showcasing a level entry that seamlessly integrates with the bathroom floor, ensuring ease of access and a clean, minimalist look. A linear drain enhances the sleek appearance while providing efficient water drainage, and the inclusion of a bench seat offers both comfort and practicality. To elevate the shower experience, a handheld shower fixture has been installed, along with a custom niche featuring LED lighting, perfect for showcasing bath essentials or decorative items. The vanity area has been meticulously crafted with custom cabinetry, designed to reflect both elegance and functionality. The cabinetry extends to the ceiling, incorporating a tower that maximizes storage while providing a refined, polished look. The 4" cove molding at the capital adds an exquisite touch, seamlessly blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design elements. Throughout the project, high-quality materials were selected to ensure durability and style, contributing to an overall aesthetic that is both inviting and sophisticated. The outcome of the Weddington Downs Master Bath is a harmonious blend of luxury and practicality, creating a space that perfectly caters to the needs of the homeowners while embodying a timeless elegance.
