About This Project

The Belmont NC Kitchen Remodel with Massive Island transformed a charming family home in Belmont, addressing the outdated builder-grade cabinetry and countertops that hindered both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The original kitchen layout isolated the cooking area from the dining room and living room, creating a disconnect during family gatherings and entertaining. To remedy this, we executed a significant renovation that included the removal of the load-bearing wall, which opened up the space into an inviting open-concept kitchen. Central to this remodel is the impressive massive island, designed for both cooking and socializing, making it an ideal centerpiece for gatherings. The cabinetry was upgraded to reflect a contemporary aesthetic, complemented by a stunning hood vent that enhances the kitchen's visual appeal. We replaced the built-in hutch with a modern refrigerator and beverage center, significantly improving storage options and practicality. Modern features such as roll-out trays, a trash can pull-out, spice racks, and utensil organizers were integrated to elevate functionality. Additionally, we upgraded the double door base cabinets to sleek drawer bases for easy access and increased the height of the cabinets from 30 inches to 36 inches, contributing to a fresh, airy atmosphere and maximizing storage space. The laundry room received a thoughtful makeover, featuring new cabinets above the washer and dryer, along with a tall linen/storage closet to enhance its utility. A small pantry was transformed into a generous 12-foot deep walk-in pantry, equipped with new shelves, cabinetry, and lighting, providing ample space for all pantry essentials. To complete the renovation, durable LVP flooring was installed throughout the first floor, further elevating the home's aesthetic. Remarkably, all these transformative changes were completed in just 21 days, delivering a modern, functional kitchen that fosters connection and enhances everyday living.
