Pest Control (by Lawnscape Specialists) This is one of our recent landscape s called 'Pest Control' by Lawnscape Specialists, Inc. from Lawnscape Specialists on Vimeo. This aimed to develop a calm, outdoor space while also controlling the pests in the area that can affect garden beauty and health. So, we designed around them with native plants that are known to repel pests and allow those integrators to work better. Species like marigolds, lavender, and rosemary were chosen to be part of the landscape both for their beauty and their ability to repel certain insects. So, strategically each of these plants were placed in the most effective zones yet flowed beautifully throughout the garden house. Among the major challenges that came with the was getting rid of the pests already there without having to turn to toxic and harmful chemicals of any kind. We focused on organic methods of pest control, while also incorporating beneficial insect habitats (e.g., insect hotels) to create a balanced environment. Not only did this two prong approach alleviate the immediate onslaught of pests but laid the foundation for a permanent solution for sustainable gardening. We used the best eco-friendly and long-lasting belongings to amplify the appearance of the landscape. We installed weather-resistant garden beds made from reclaimed wood to provide structure to the plants and stay true to our practice of sustainable living, as well. Permeable pavers were also used to create paths that not only improved accessibility but also offered adequate drainage to facilitate the maintenance of a lovely garden for the client. What we ended with was a beautiful landscape which not only made the client smile, but also became a new ecosystem. Jonathan's garden blossomed into a colorful bug-free oasis for the client to take advantage of their outdoor space, even during the pest-filled months, so that they can enjoy nature, all year round. This particular landscape was a blend of many of Lawnscape specialists' quality developed product associated with great service we have providing all over Kansas City area and surrounding communities with pride.
