The Farmhouse Family Home project, located in Jacksonville, FL, represents a significant transformation of an early 90's yacht and country club residence. This comprehensive renovation aimed to breathe new life into the existing structure while enhancing its functionality and aesthetic appeal. The first major change involved the removal of two load-bearing walls, effectively opening up the family room and kitchen to maximize the stunning water views. This strategic alteration created an inviting open-concept floor plan, perfect for family gatherings and entertaining. Central to the redesigned living space is a new gas fireplace, elegantly framed by a custom marble surround and hearth, which now serves as a focal point in the room.
