Working throughout the vibrance of Bergen County, from Mahwah to Ridgewood and Glen Rock, our team was met with the specific challenge of balancing the landscape with the built environment while complementing the natural beauty of the lot. Hardscaping elements of this included a local bluestone patio that we designed, providing a beautiful yet practical surface for entertaining outdoors; A curving path of natural flagstone framed by perennial gardens brings the flow of the interior space outdoors. We used a unique French drain system to solve all drainage problems of the landscape, providing durability and sustainability during periods of heavy rainfall. Once drought-tolerant plants like native shrubs and colorful seasonal blossoms for increased biodiversity were chosen, they soon added aesthetic value as well. In the end, it was a great combination of practical and pretty and the soothing water feature was not only a beautiful focal point but also a peaceful sanctuary for the homeowners. Needless to say, our clients were over the moon with the results, stating that Joe Finizio & Sons have outdone themselves as usual with their craftsmanship and attention to detail.
