Rancho Palos Verdes by SM Brothers Landscape, Inc. Located in the tranquil hillside area of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, this beautiful landscape was developed by SM Brothers Landscape, Inc. SM Brothers specializes in designing landscapes for high-end areas like Bel Air, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica., so it was no surprise to them to be asked to design this outdoor retreat that would incorporate seamless design that would blend beautifully into the surrounding landscape. The included a variety of stunning elements to enhance both function and design. A hand-laid natural stone pathway meanders through a number of native plantings, which are designed to provide biodiversity while using very little water to grow. The custom cedar raised garden beds were designed and built from locally harvested materials to provide a perfect place for the client to grow vegetables and herbs. A modern fire pit area surrounded by carefully chosen drought-tolerant plants would provide a space for family and friends to enjoy their yard year round. Perhaps the most difficult aspect of the was the steep topography of the area. SM Brothers incorporated terraces of planting beds with retaining walls made from boulders found just down the way. These features supported the hillside and created beautiful layers that added an extra dimension to the landscape design. In the end, the produced a functional and beautiful space that interpreted the client's vision perfectly. With thoughtfully chosen plants and hardscape features, the Rancho Palos Verdes provides a showcase for SM Brothers Landscape, Inc. and is a symbol of their commitment to quality service and satisfaction. The happy client now enjoys a serene retreat that works with the surrounding landscape and defines Southern California living!
