About This Project

Concept Drawings at Jennifer Bromme Landscape Design. Recently an exciting 'Concept Drawings' was completed at Jennifer Bromme Landscape Design, in which an under-utilized residential property was transformed to an engaging and beautiful outdoor space in the middle of the Bay Area. We serve clients throughout this region, including Brisbane, Burlingame, and San Francisco, which involves an intersection of creativity and high quality. The design incorporates a balanced combination of native plants that are low maintenance and highly durable, along with nice hardscaping elements of natural stone pathways and gravel. These elements contribute to a lovely outdoor space. A custom wooden pergola is furnished with shaded seating space and climbing vines that beckon a wonderful relationship with nature. The sloped property posed challenges related to proper drainage, and the integrity of the soil. Our team effectively worked around both of these challenges with a thoughtfully tiered planting system that increased the overall depth and dimensionality of the landscape. Moreover, environmentally conscientious materials were employed, including reclaimed wood and permeable layers. Working with the homeowners, we custom-designed the fire pit area, suitable for entertaining guests who can also enjoy flowering beds throughout the seasons. In the end result of this was a vibrant garden that characteristically goes beyond the expectations of the homeowner and provided opportunities for usage. This was an excellent example of our work as landscape designers, as outdoor spaces can be enhanced by melding different activities and lifestyles together into the landscapes of the Bay Area, welcomes families from Palo Alto to Saratoga!
