The Carlyle Condominium Office Remodel in Minneapolis, MN, is a stunning transformation aimed at creating an efficient and aesthetically pleasing workspace for our clients who work from home. The primary challenge was addressing the lack of natural light within the existing space, which was compounded by the need for ample storage. To tackle these concerns, we designed a sophisticated office that harmonizes functionality with style. The centerpiece of the remodel is a custom-built storage unit that spans the back wall, meticulously crafted to maximize vertical space. This built-in features concealed ladders on either side of the base cabinets, allowing easy access to the upper shelves while maintaining a clean and uncluttered look. The choice of materials for the cabinetry emphasizes durability and elegance, with a finish that complements the overall color scheme of the office, enhancing the sense of openness and creativity. Lighting plays a pivotal role in this design. We integrated a state-of-the-art Ketra/Lutron lighting system throughout the office, which adjusts automatically to mimic the natural progression of daylight, thereby supporting the clients’ circadian rhythms. This innovative approach not only brightens the space but also fosters an environment conducive to productivity and well-being. The lighting design was carefully curated to create varying atmospheres for different tasks, ensuring that the office remains inviting and functional at all hours.
