Garden Oaks Landscape Installation by Texan Landscape Group LLC Texan Landscape Group LLC is thrilled to present the Garden Oaks design install, a remarkable landscape transformation that has reimagined outdoor living in the midst of Houston. Since serving clients in Barker, Baytown, Bellaire, and West University Place, we took on this residential garden installation that required both skill and creativity while also addressing various concerns of the existing landscape. The process began with an in-depth consultation and a discussion to gain an understanding of the client's vision and taste, while also addressing the challenges that the existing landscape created. The site was uneven and had sections of the garden that received minimal sunlight. Thus, we needed to develop a design that not only allowed seasonal color, but also incorporated native and drought tolerant species. The Garden Oaks also consisted of various features, such as a custom-built stone path that creates a picturesque and functional design as it meandered through the thick flower beds. The client and designer achieved an environmentally friendly and aesthetic design through the use of durable flagstone where the stone paths extended through the garden. Additional features included a water feature with a waterfall that created an astonishing centerpiece while allowing for peace and tranquility with its gentle sounds. To address the environment's challenges of shade, we also incorporated lighting features that highlighted textures and colors of the plantings that added visual interest when entertaining in the evenings. We also related select materials such as organic mulch and locally sourced decorative stones to ensure there was design interest, sustainability, and ease of both aesthetic and maintenance. In conclusion, the finished product turned out absolutely stunning while bringing satisfaction to the client as they could realize their peaceful outdoor environment for entertainment, relaxation, and family.
