Barrel & Beam is a masterful renovation of a traditional family home, transforming it into a sophisticated retreat tailored for a family of five. This project commenced in 2024 with a vision to address the homeowners' needs, transitioning from an outdated and disjointed space to a harmonious and functional environment. The initial challenges included a cramped pantry and insufficient built-ins, which left the homeowners struggling with daily storage frustrations. Our partnership with Urbanology Designs aimed to alleviate these concerns, ensuring that every element of the design would enhance both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The design choices made throughout this renovation reflect a commitment to quality craftsmanship and thoughtful organization. The kitchen, a central hub for family gatherings, features custom cabinetry that seamlessly integrates modern convenience with timeless design. We selected durable materials, including transitional multicolored tiles that lend warmth and character, while maintaining practicality for everyday use. The open-concept layout enhances flow and connectivity, allowing natural light to illuminate the space, fostering an inviting atmosphere. In the bathrooms, the design incorporates a blend of contemporary features and classic elements. The transitional bathroom showcases a striking combination of shaker cabinets in dark wood, complemented by gray countertops and a floating vanity that adds a touch of modern elegance. The vaulted ceiling enhances the sense of space, while the thoughtfully chosen blue walls create a calming backdrop. Each detail, from the undermount sinks to the two-piece toilets, was meticulously curated to ensure both beauty and functionality.
